Okay, so Playlist.com pulled a fast one on me! It took me days and days to notice. I suppose, in that case, it really didn't have to be a fast one, now did it? LOL They wasted all that energy trying to pull one over on lil ole me... Anyway, they are now disallowing pop-up players on blogs and stuff. For that reason, I'm removing them from my sidebar and putting them in link form below. I will keep this post updated with playlists as I do them for each book. Sorry for the inconvenience:( The bright side is that you might stop and play for a while on Playlist.com. You know, find some new favorite songs, listen to some old favorite songs. It's a great way to spend an afternoon, which I've done many a time (when I should've been writing:D). Annnnnywho, it's all good, right? Right! So here they are, y'all:
Madly and the Jackal http://pl.st/p/23178828299

“One-two-three-four,” I tapped out, sending the large garage rocking into our usual Thursday night jam session. I pounded out the beat on the drums. In front of me, John wailed on his guitar, Dex was killing it on bass, and Drake totally owned our small group of admirers the way he belted out our lyrics into the microphone.
In between sets, I swiped the beaded up sweat on my forehead with the back of my hand, catching the admiring gaze of Miranda. Of course, I wished it was someone else. I shook my head to dislodge the thoughts of Kassandra. I didn’t need the distraction at the moment. Miranda was cool, and I knew she was into me. She looked at me appraisingly when I returned her smile. When we launched into our next set, I kept my eyes fixated on her, taking in every curve of her body. She returned my heated glance as we eye-flirted throughout the song.
The small crowd cheered as I rolled through my solo. I grinned at them, tossing my drumsticks up above my head and catching them at the last moment as I continued on.
“Dude, you rocked,” John said, knocking his knuckles against mine as we sat around after the last song. “It’s good to have you back. The jams just weren’t the same.”
“Yeah, we missed your sorry loser ass,” Drake added, throwing a mock punch at my shoulder.

Whisper by Chelsea Cameron--Cover Reveal
Synopsis:
People think I'm crazy. Maybe I am, since I've been able to talk to spirits for as long as I can remember. They are the forgotten, the souls who have unfinished business and can't cross over. I help them, or at least I try to. There's this one in particular, Jack, I call him, who's been following me around a lot. Usually they tell me what they need to do and move on. Not him.
It isn't until he brings another spirit, Tracy, the victim of an unsolved hit-and-run accident, that I know for sure he's something more than just your average spirit. Then I start seeing him. And feeling his touch. And falling for him.
In our quest to get justice for Tracy and help her move on, Jack and I become something more than just a dead boy and a living girl. I'm just waiting to see what happens next...
Whisper will be released on June 16th in Ebook and later in June in paperback. Here's a sneak peek of the first chapter!
You don't look like the kind of girl who would speak to the dead.
“I can't decide if that's meant to be offensive or not.” He was right, though. From my t-shirt which had a picture of the Cookie Monster on it and a caption that read, “Come to the Dark Side, we have cookies,” my holey yoga pants that had never been used for yoga, and my mismatched Christmas socks, to my not-straight-but-not-curly hair blondish hair, I didn't look like the kind of girl who would talk to dead people. I didn't hang out in cemeteries and listen to too much Evanescence and wear a lot of crystals. Not that there was anything wrong with any of those things.
It was not meant to be offensive.
“What was it meant to be?” I pulled my knees up and put my chin on them.
Didn't your mother call you for dinner?
Evasive. There was definitely something different about him. Most spirits were so confused about where they were or if they were dead they didn't know how to be evasive. This guy was something else.
“You sure you don't want anything?”
No. Just visiting. Spirits didn't visit. The only reason they hung around was to accomplish something they'd left undone. So either he didn't want to tell me, or he was just messing with me.
“Well, if you want to stick around, that's your choice, but I'm going to pretend you aren't here.”
Do whatever you want. He was starting to get on my nerves. I walked to the doorway. Once I was through there, I was going to pretend I was normal.
“Okay, I'm going to stop talking to you now.”
Silence.
“Thank you.” I took a step.
You're welcome.
“Ugh, stop it!”
Don't forget to add Whisper to your Goodreads shelf.

Madly & the Jackal Playlist
It's almost time, y'all! May 29th will be here before you know it. In the meantime, I thought you might like to check out the playlist. Since I'm extraordinarily technically challenged, if it doesn't show up in this post, it will definitely appear on the sidebar, over there---------> Yes, for those who are also blogger challenged, I felt the need to point in the direction of the "sidebar" just in case the name wasn't self-explanatory enough. DOY, Michelle. LOL Laugh it up, folks! I'm here for your entertainment.
:D
Seriously, I totally am.
All right, people, ENJOY! Jackson will be along to greet you soon enough;)

Random Acts of Kindness Giveaway
I've decided to start doing random giveaways. You know, just give away a free ebook every now and again for no apparent reason. I'm a random kinda girl, so I think it fits. I'm sure you have questions, right? Things like which book, when is the giveaway and how do I enter. Well, I can answer those. Here are the details:
Which book? It's your choice. You can choose any of my ebooks on either Amazon or Barnes & Noble.
When is the giveaway? Whenever I tweet "Random Acts of Kindness Giveaway." I might do one a month, one a week or three a week. Who knows?
And finally how do I enter? That part is easy. All you do is tweet me @mleightonbooks "I'd love to read ________" and you fill in the blank with the title of one of my books that you'd like to read. That's it. Easy peasy. At the end of the day, I'll draw from those who tweeted me and the winner will get the ebook of their choice.
The catch? Okay, so nothing is really, truly free I guess. Technically, neither is this. But it's REALLY cheap! The thing I would ask in return is that you do something nice for someone. Doesn't matter what you do or for whom you do it, just as long as you do something kind. It can be anything from paying someone a compliment, which might turn their whole day around incidentally, to buying someone a cup of coffee to holding the door for the little old lady going into the grocery store. Doesn't matter. It need not be expensive or lengthy or elaborate, just kind. That's the only requirement. I'll never know if you actually did something nice, but you will. So will the person you did it for, and that's what matters most. Sounds simple, right? Yep, that's 'cause it is:)
Have I mentioned that I adore y'all? Each and every one of you? No? What a shame!! Because I really, REALLY do!
Hump day, hump day, hump day! Squeeeee! Have a good one, y'all!!
