New Covers for Dark Betrayal Series- Nichole Chase

All right, y'all, the fabulous Nichole Chase has redone her covers for the Dark Betrayal Trilogy in honor of the upcoming release of the third and final book.  I have a peek of the first two for you today and they are LOVELY!!  Here they are, along with their blurbs:

Mortal Obligation:

Ree will face the darkest form of betrayal before the year is out.
Seventeen year old Ree McKenna has three goals: get through high school, convince her crush she is more than his best friend’s little sister, and save money for college. Fate, though, has other plans for her. After the untimely death of her older brother, Ree is haunted by dreadful nightmares and terrifying visions. To make matters worse, Ree has started to suspect that something dangerous is stalking her from the shadows.
A night full of frightening surprises leaves Ree with unsettling news. Gifted by the gods with unusual powers, she must devote herself to a battle that could very well lead to not only her death, but the demise of everyone she knows and loves. After all, Ree is the only mortal standing between the Earth and utter darkness.

Mortal Defiance:

One short week turned Ree McKenna’s life upside down. Not only does she have the weight of the world on her shoulders, but she still has to juggle homework, a job, and a curfew. While Ree tries to find her footing amidst the chaos, the Dark Ones and their champion are busy hunting down any humans that have a touch of the gods running through their veins. Allies have turned into foes, and enemies have become stronger.
The world is growing darker, but the passion between Ree and two irresistible guys blazes hotter. Romantic ties from a past life will threaten to break Ree away from the love of her life and will cloud her judgment. In order to follow her heart, Ree will break rules put in place by the gods, risking her life and the lives of her friends in an act of Mortal Defiance.

Playlists

Okay, so Playlist.com pulled a fast one on me!  It took me days and days to notice.  I suppose, in that case, it really didn't have to be a fast one, now did it?  LOL  They wasted all that energy trying to pull one over on lil ole me...  Anyway, they are now disallowing pop-up players on blogs and stuff.  For that reason, I'm removing them from my sidebar and putting them in link form below.  I will keep this post updated with playlists as I do them for each book.  Sorry for the inconvenience:(  The bright side is that you might stop and play for a while on Playlist.com.  You know, find some new favorite songs, listen to some old favorite songs.  It's a great way to spend an afternoon, which I've done many a time (when I should've been writing:D).  Annnnnywho, it's all good, right?  Right!  So here they are, y'all:

Good luck, everyone!  Let the decoding begin!

“One-two-three-four,” I tapped out, sending the large garage rocking into our usual Thursday night jam session. I pounded out the beat on the drums. In front of me, John wailed on his guitar, Dex was killing it on bass, and Drake totally owned our small group of admirers the way he belted out our lyrics into the microphone.
In between sets, I swiped the beaded up sweat on my forehead with the back of my hand, catching the admiring gaze of Miranda. Of course, I wished it was someone else. I shook my head to dislodge the thoughts of Kassandra. I didn’t need the distraction at the moment. Miranda was cool, and I knew she was into me. She looked at me appraisingly when I returned her smile. When we launched into our next set, I kept my eyes fixated on her, taking in every curve of her body. She returned my heated glance as we eye-flirted throughout the song.
The small crowd cheered as I rolled through my solo. I grinned at them, tossing my drumsticks up above my head and catching them at the last moment as I continued on.
“Dude, you rocked,” John said, knocking his knuckles against mine as we sat around after the last song. “It’s good to have you back. The jams just weren’t the same.”
“Yeah, we missed your sorry loser ass,” Drake added, throwing a mock punch at my shoulder.

Whisper by Chelsea Cameron--Cover Reveal

Synopsis:

People think I'm crazy. Maybe I am, since I've been able to talk to spirits for as long as I can remember. They are the forgotten, the souls who have unfinished business and can't cross over. I help them, or at least I try to. There's this one in particular, Jack, I call him, who's been following me around a lot. Usually they tell me what they need to do and move on. Not him.

It isn't until he brings another spirit, Tracy, the victim of an unsolved hit-and-run accident, that I know for sure he's something more than just your average spirit. Then I start seeing him. And feeling his touch. And falling for him.

In our quest to get justice for Tracy and help her move on, Jack and I become something more than just a dead boy and a living girl. I'm just waiting to see what happens next...

Whisper will be released on June 16th in Ebook and later in June in paperback. Here's a sneak peek of the first chapter!

You don't look like the kind of girl who would speak to the dead.

“I can't decide if that's meant to be offensive or not.” He was right, though. From my t-shirt which had a picture of the Cookie Monster on it and a caption that read, “Come to the Dark Side, we have cookies,” my holey yoga pants that had never been used for yoga, and my mismatched Christmas socks, to my not-straight-but-not-curly hair blondish hair, I didn't look like the kind of girl who would talk to dead people. I didn't hang out in cemeteries and listen to too much Evanescence and wear a lot of crystals. Not that there was anything wrong with any of those things.

It was not meant to be offensive.

“What was it meant to be?” I pulled my knees up and put my chin on them.

Didn't your mother call you for dinner?

Evasive. There was definitely something different about him. Most spirits were so confused about where they were or if they were dead they didn't know how to be evasive. This guy was something else.

“You sure you don't want anything?”

No. Just visiting. Spirits didn't visit. The only reason they hung around was to accomplish something they'd left undone. So either he didn't want to tell me, or he was just messing with me.

“Well, if you want to stick around, that's your choice, but I'm going to pretend you aren't here.”

Do whatever you want. He was starting to get on my nerves. I walked to the doorway. Once I was through there, I was going to pretend I was normal.

“Okay, I'm going to stop talking to you now.”

Silence.

“Thank you.” I took a step.

You're welcome.

“Ugh, stop it!”

Don't forget to add Whisper to your Goodreads shelf.

It's almost time, y'all!  May 29th will be here before you know it.  In the meantime, I thought you might like to check out the playlist.  Since I'm extraordinarily technically challenged, if it doesn't show up in this post, it will definitely appear on the sidebar, over there--------->  Yes, for those who are also blogger challenged, I felt the need to point in the direction of the "sidebar" just in case the name wasn't self-explanatory enough.  DOY, Michelle.  LOL  Laugh it up, folks! I'm here for your entertainment.

Seriously, I totally am.

All right, people, ENJOY!  Jackson will be along to greet you soon enough;)
