Down to You NEW Cover Reveal

My hubby found that this is already showing on the Berkley paperback edition of Down to You, so I thought I'd go ahead and show it off to y'all.

Introducing the new Bad Boys series covers, book one Down to You.  Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep! I hope you love it!!!  Also, hang around to see the bottom.  *whispers*  There's a giveaway!

One girl. Twin brothers. An uncommon triangle.

When college student Olivia Townsend returned home to help her father run his business, she never imagined a complication like Cash and Nash Davenport—twin brothers different in so many ways but with one thing in common: an uncontrollable desire for Olivia.

Cash is dangerous, sexy, and bad to the bone—a man whose kisses make Olivia forget she is playing with fire. Nash is successful, reliable and intensely passionate—and already taken. But all it takes is one soft stroke to make Olivia forget he belongs to someone else.

However, Olivia is in for a surprise. These boys have a secret that should make her run away as far and as fast as she can. If only it wasn’t too late. A sensual game between three players has begun, and it’s about to spin deliriously out of control.

Share this on Facebook or Twitter and tag me in the post and you'll be automatically entered to win a signed copy of the book with the original cover, as well as a swag pack that includes a t-shirt featuring the original cover, too:)  Go, Cash, go!  I'll be drawing a winner on Thursday morning and announcing it on my blog, as well as Facebook and Twitter.  The contest is open internationally.  Must be 18 or older to win.

AND THE WINNER IS... Taneesha Freidus!  Please email me at m.leighton.books@gmail.com withint 24 hours to collect your prize.  If I haven't heard from her, I'll draw another winner.

Thank you each and every one for being absolutely awesome!!!  <3

The Wild Ones with...MORE

This post was supposed to go up yesterday, the official release day of the new, steamier edition of The Wild Ones, but...

*sigh*

It didn't go off as planned.  *another sigh as I bite my tongue*  I'm still not sure what happened.  The price was wrong, the cover was wrong, it wasn't showing up on some sites (and still isn't on one that I know of) BUT, today most of that is fixed.  It still isn't easy to find in some cases, but I'm providing links to facilitate that for you.  I wish I could do more to make this right and / or speed things along, but my hands are tied.  Not literally, of course.  If one of the culprits for this fiasco had gotten close enough to tie my hands yesterday, I might've been tempted to head-butt them:)  hehe  To say it was a trying day would be like calling the ocean a puddle.  ;)

Anyhooooo, there's no use crying over spilled milk, so today I'm moving forward.  I still got to (and will continue to get to) see my lovely little book on bookstore shelves, an experience which I hope never to tire of.  To say that it's both wonderful and surreal would be a tragic understatement!  I get all verklempt just thinking about it.  *sniffles*  And if you don't recognize the verklempt reference, you need to brush up on your classic SNL;)  Talk amongst yourselves *said in best Linda Richmond voice*

Sorry. I digress.  Okay, so in answer to one question I've been getting, if you have an older edition, it will NOT automatically update:(  But don't worry, you won't be lost if you don't read the new version.  I would never do that to y'all!  It would be like holding you hostage and I could never do that!  In essence, this version contains some additional steam *winks* (no fade-to-black here!) as well as some explanation in places they felt like some clarification was needed.  Also, some questions were answered.  All in all, just a little extra here and there, but nothing that changes the outcome of the story.  Y'all know I'm a happily-ever-after girl and that will NEVER change:)

I have links where most of you can purchase the new edition of The Wild Ones, but you can also walk right into many of your favorite stores and find it there as well.  *grins from ear to ear*  That's my thing now. It's like a treasure hunt.  I'm going into every store I pass to see if they carry it.  LOL  You may or may not find me standing in the aisle staring at it for inordinately long periods of time. Okay, you totally will.  hehe  In a few weeks, the entire Eastern seaboard will know what a happy nutball I am:D  But I don't care. If they knew what it felt like to have a dream like this come true, they'd do the same thing, right?  Right!

Lastly, before I give y'all another sneak peek at the cover (which still hasn't updated on some sites, but don't worry--as long as the edition is March 5th, you're good to go), I want to take a second to thank you again.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!  *heartfelt and slightly tearful hug*  None of this would be possible without you.  This dream of mine wouldn't be coming true in the amazing way that it is if it weren't for the love and support and encouragement and overall AWESOMENESS of each and every one of you.  I'm more grateful than I could explain, even with the help of a thousand thesauruses in fifty different languages.

I love y'all!  I really, really do!

Okay, back to Trick.  Here he is!  I hope you fall in love with him all over again:)

** I will update and add sites as they come online with the new edition

Everything for Us, Bad Boys Novel #3

Gather, kittens! I have some news.  Coincidentally, I just typed the very last words to the first draft of this book.  Coincidence? I think not!  I'm taking that as a wonderful sign:)

I have the final release schedule from Berkley on when the new print editions of Down to You and Up to Me will be out, as well as the release date for Everything for Us.  The covers aren't done yet, so I can't reveal the it for book 3, but what I can give you is the pre-order link and blurb #1.  There are actually two blurbs, strangely, and the second one will be released at a later date. It has something...spoilery in it.  *winks*

Down to You, new edition, will be released July 2, 2013 (pre-order) and Up to Me, new edition, will be released August 6, 2013 (pre-order)

So, without further ado, here is the blurb for Everything for Us, book 3 in the Bad Boys series, due September 3, 2013.  Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep

EVERYTHING FOR US

When it comes to passion this hot, it’s all or nothing.

Olivia Townsend’s wealthy cousin Marissa had everything a girl could ask for—a great job, a privileged life, and all the friends she wanted. Or, at least, all the friends money could buy. But one case of mistaken identity has turned her privileged world upside down.

An abduction gone wrong lands her right in the lap of the sexiest, most dangerous man she’s ever met. To Marissa, he’s an enigma, but one to whom she’s irresistibly, inexplicably drawn.

With him comes a new world of freedom and passion, of dark shadows and dangerous secrets, a world where nothing is what it seems—except for the blind passion that Marissa can’t escape—or maybe even survive.

You can pre-order your copy here.

Can I just say I CAN'T FREAKIN' WAIT TO START TEASERS FOR THIS BOOK!  OMG OMG OMG!

Okay, that's all;)

If You Stay by Courtney Cole

Oh.  My.  Gosh.  Today I am honored to have not only one of my very best friends on my blog, but also an amazing author.  Her name is Courtney Cole and her latest book, If You Stay, is tearing up the charts like a Tazmanian Devil.  Whoop!  And honestly, it couldn't happen to a better person.

She's done a guest post in honor of her book birthday, which is technically today.  It released early, though, much to the pleasure of us readers.  You can find it just below the picture and blurb for her book, which I'm going to show you now.

The last thing I'll say before I give you over to Courtney is that if you haven't read this book, WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU WAITING FOR?  It's raw and passionate and Pax is amazingly flawed yet intensely lovable.  It really is an incredible story, and for those of you who fear it will end badly, fear not!  It has a wonderful ending. *happy sigh as I remember it*  So, read this post then hop right on over to Amazon or Barnes and Noble and get your copy.  You won't regret it:)

Okay, here's Courtney!  Happy reading!!

xoxo

24-year old Pax Tate is an asshole.
Seriously.
He’s a tattooed, rock-hard bad-boy with a bad attitude to match.
But he’s got his reasons.
His mother died when Pax was seven, leaving a hole in his heart filled with guilt although he doesn’t understand why. What he does know is that he and his dad are left alone and with more issues than they can count.
As Pax grew up, he tried to be the kid his father always wanted; the perfect golden boy, but it didn’t work. His dad couldn’t overcome his grief long enough to notice and Pax couldn’t keep up the impossible perfect façade.
So he slipped far, far from it.
Now, he uses drugs and women to cope with the ugliness, the black void that he doesn’t want to deal with. If he pretends that the emptiness isn’t there, then it isn’t, right?
Wrong.
And it’s never more apparent than when he meets Mila.
Sweet, beautiful Mila Hill is the fresh air to his hardened frown, the beauty to his ugly heart. He doesn’t know how to not hurt her, but he quickly realizes that he’s got to figure it out because he needs her to breathe.
When memories of his mother’s death resurface from where he’s repressed them for so long, Mila is there to catch him when the guilt starts making sense. Mila is the one…the one who can save him from his broken troubled heart; from his issues, from the emptiness.
But only if he can stop being an asshole long enough to allow it.
He knows that. And he’s working on it.
But is that enough to make her stay?

Five Things I wish I knew when I started Writing

By Courtney Cole

Oh, Lord.  This is a huge question.  And there are SO MANY things I wish I’d known back then.  Let me think on this… hmm.

1.        You can’t please everyone nor should you try.  ßThis is true.   If you pleased everyone, then it means that your book is so vanilla and bland that it lacks passion or zest.  You should always write what is in your heart, what your muse is steering you to write.  Don’t write what you think people might like and don’t change what you are writing to suit every little thing that people say.  Write what you want to write.  Period.
2.      Start your book in the spot where the story begins.  Too much backstory is bad.  Too little backstory is also bad, but you have to sprinkle it throughout the book.  Start each book in a point where it is worth telling.
3.      It’s okay to work in yoga pants.  I quit my full-time job in corporate America to stay home and write full-time.  At first, it seemed strange to work in comfy clothes and a ponytail.  Now, I wouldn’t have it any other way.  It’s a true perk of the job.  J
4.      Build a team.  You can’t do everything alone.  You always need more than one pair of eyes on your MS as you are writing it.  So, find a critique partner whom you trust (I was lucky enough to find Michelle), and a small group of beta readers who are willing to give you honest feedback.  It takes a village to raise a child and it takes a village to write a great book.
5.      Develop your own process.   Make a storyboard, research, write, re-vise, edit, polish, submit to betas, re-vise, edit, re-submit, etc. etc.  Whatever your routine is, just do it.  Don’t skip steps to save time.  The reader will know if your work is sloppy.

So, anyway… there’s a bunch of things I wish I’d known, but these are what spring to mind right off the bat.  Thanks for having me, M.  I love ya bunches and bunches!

Courtney Cole is a novelist who would eat mythology for breakfast if she could. She has a degree in Business, but has since discovered that corporate America is not nearly as fun to live in as fictional worlds. She loves chocolate and roller coasters and hates waiting and rude people.
Courtney lives in quiet suburbia, close to Lake Michigan, with her real-life Prince Charming, her ornery kids (there is a small chance that they get their orneriness from their mother) and a small domestic zoo.

Kisses from Cash- UP TO ME is on sale!

Well, since I can't be sure how much longer I'll be in control of this series (as Berkley will be taking over shortly), I wanted to give you an early Happy Valentine's Day kiss from Cash.  For those of you who haven't read it but want to, I suggest you take advantage of this VERY LIMITED time offer.  I'm dropping the price of Up to Me to $1.99.  Wahooooooooooooooo  It's kind of a see-ya-later smack on the butt to Cash, since I'll be visiting him on the bookstore shelves in a few months.  That will be a truly epic day in my life and I'll admit I CAN'T FREAKIN' WAIT!

Anyway, please spread the word. It's a great deal and you won't see it again, so snap it up fast!  As always, thank you so much for your support and all you do to share your love of reading with others.

Love, love, love y'all!!
